Notice of Passing Zoning By-Law Amendment – Short -Term Rental Accommodations

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council for The Corporation of the Township of South Algonquin passed By-law No. 2024-805 on the 10th day of July, 2024, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13 to amend zoning provisions in the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law 2017-527.

The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to permit Short Term Rental Accommodations for lands within the Township of South Algonquin Settlement Area Residential (R1), Settlement Area Shoreline Residential (R2), Shoreline Residential (SR), Limited Service Shoreline Residential (LSR) and Rural (RU) Zones.

There were no comments or concerns from the public that influenced the decision of Council.

 The last date for filing a notice of appeal of this Decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal is

August 6, 2024.

TAKE NOTICE THAT only a specified person who, before the by-law was passed, made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council; a public body that, before the by-law was passed, made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council; the registered owner of any land to which the by-law would apply, if, before the by-law was passed, the owner made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council may appeal the decision.

The Ontario Land Tribunal Appeal should be delivered to:

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council for The Corporation of the Township of South Algonquin passed By-law No. 2024-801 on the 3rd day of July, 2024, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13 to amend zoning provisions in the Comprehensive Zoning By-Law 2017-527.

The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to permit Additional Residential Units (ARUs) for lands within the Township of South Algonquin Settlement Area Residential (R1), Settlement Area Shoreline Residential (R2), Shoreline Residential (SR), and Rural (RU) Zones.

There were no comments or concerns from the public that influenced the decision of Council.
