Phase 1 of the Whitney Fibre from April 28th to May 2nd
- Algonquin Fibers-approved contractors: SPY Communications
- Work will continue throughout Phase 1 and possibly starting Fibre installation on: Mill St & Lake Street
- Work will take place between 8 am and 5 pm
- location changes possible but all located within phase 1 *

Draft Short Term Rental Licencing Accommodation By-Law

Short-term Rental Accommodation By-Law Update as of February 24, 2025
Committee will be reviewing the Draft Short-Term Rental Accommodation By-Law at the committee meeting on April 16th. After the review, the committee will give staff direction on how to proceed with the by-law.
Should Council approve the by-law there will be a six-month grace period for owners to comply with the new regulations.

DRAFT Short-Term Rental Accomodation By-Law
Load Restrictions
In accordance with the provisions of By-law No. 15-481, certain roadways will be posted and enforced for load restrictions. The reduced load period is deemed necessary to protect roadways from heavy load damage during the spring thaw. Reduced load restriction signs will be erected in the appropriate locations at the direction of the Works Superintendent or designate any time after March 1, 2025.
Load Restrictions will be implemented on Friday, March 14, 2025
