Galeairy Lake Beach (Whitney)πŸ¦€

This popular public beach sits along Galeairy Lake and is known for its stunning sunsets and calm waters. Parking is available at 40 Lakeshore Avenue. Visitors will find picnic tables, a sun shelter, change rooms, and a beach volleyball court. It’s an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing by the water, or enjoying a lakeside picnic.

Galeairy Lake Memorial Park🐠

This is a beautiful park located at 29589 Highway 60, where Galeairy Lake falls over the dam into the Madawaska River.

This park is the perfect place to stop for a stretch if you are on a long journey or wanting to enjoy a picnic on a beautiful day. There are picnic tables, a sun shelter and, in tribute to fallen soldiers, a military gun that sits beside a cenotaph, which was constructed by a community volunteer.

This park also includes a playground, a path along the water’s edge and several picnic areas which are complete with barbeques.

Lester Smith Baseball Diamond/ PlaygroundπŸ›βšΎβš½

A full ball diamond including washroom facilities is well used and loved in the town of Whitney . There is currently a playground as well and this location is also home to the outdoor rink in the Winter. In Spring of 2026 the playground will be updated and made completely accessible.

Madawaska Community Park (J. R. Booth Memorial)

Located in Madawaska along the Madawaska River, this park features a sandy swimming area, picnic tables, and family-friendly amenities including a playground and change facilities. The park also offers beautiful views of the historic railway bridge nearby.

Tom and Mick Murray Millennium Park

Situated on Bark Lake, this park includes a beach area, playground, picnic shelters, and change rooms. It’s a peaceful location for swimming and spending a relaxing day by the water with family and friends.

Just minutes away, Algonquin Provincial Park also offers several accessible picnic and beach areas for swimming and relaxing in nature, including the popular day-use area at Lake of Two Rivers Picnic Ground and Beach along Highway 60.
