Notice of Zoning By-Law Amendment ZBA.2024-02 Short-Term Rental Accommodation


Staff have been getting a lot of inquiries regarding the Notice of Public Meeting for Zoning By-Law Amendment No. ZBA.2024-02 – Short-Term Rental Accommodation.

Please note that currently Short-Term Rental Accommodations are not a permitted use in any zone within the Township of South Algonquin. Therefore, any Short-Term Rental Accommodation operating as such are considered illegal. The proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment will recognize Short-Term Rental Accommodations in certain zones.

Below link is the draft Short-Term Rental Accommodation Zoning By-Law Amendment that will be presented to Council for consideration.

This Zoning By-Law Amendment is not a regulating by-law. A regulating by-law will be brought to council in the fall for consideration.
